About me
A former restaurant chef-owner, I now write and create recipes for such publications as: The Toronto Star, Watershed Magazine, Canada Takeout, and others. My first book – Happy Hens & Fresh Eggs – was published by Douglas & McIntyre in 2015. I've received some lovely awards for my writing - that Gold National Magazine Award was pretty fancy and Happy Hens was shortlisted by Taste Canada - and my culinary work has garnered excellent reviews, including four star ratings from major dailies.
I studied Fine Art History and Humanities at the University of Toronto and York University, and graduated with honours from OCAD University; I earned my Wine Specialist Certificate from George Brown College, that means, though I'm not a sommelier, I just know enough about wine to be really annoying at dinner parties.
I live in Port Hope, Ontario where I share a Victorian home with a menagerie of critters.
